This installation explores self-expression through the vows of transformation.
The rib cage and spine symbolize healing, vulnerability, and courage. The spine represents vulnerability, while the ribs represent the courage to protect what is most vital. Courage is doing something afraid, even when fear is present. That first step becomes proof that if I can do it once, I can do it again.
As flowers emerge, they represent growth and resilience, the quiet transformation that happens within us as we outgrow old beliefs and continue moving forward despite fear.
The heartbeat reminds us that becoming is alive. It is an ongoing process of choosing ourselves again and again.
Expressing yourself is full commitment: marrying who you are, loving every aspect of yourself, and walking down the altar of life as your truest self... 'til death do us part.
